the city of pogradec will never be the same once you've seen it through the eyes of an artist.

europa boulevard "100 steps to europe" is a vision of fate velaj

this is a very important project that the pogradec's municipality in collaboration with one of most successful organizations in europe "forum weltoffen international", (www.weltoffen.org) with its headquarters in vienna, are undertaking based in a concept of this organization's chairman mr. fate velaj, (www.velaj.com) an austrian/albanian artist.

"100 steps to europe" we have called the project, the aim of which is to display the history, the way, hopes and prospects of ours continent. the project intent to display the common history of europe, to make people more aware of it, specially the youth, and above all to display the identity in diversity of europe in a more specific, broad and general way.

that is why we think that is a great idea that one of the streets of our beautiful city to be called "europe boulevard" and also using 4 monumental artworks 3 from fate velaj and one from internationaly acclaimed artist robert kabas and a 250m called "walk of europeans" we will write in marble and immortalize 100 the most known historic personalities of europe from ancient times until today.

we will once again show to our country, the youths and the whole balkan that history lives and the future has one colour: the blue colour of european union
