Albania

Shanset e humbura

Janë si frutat në një pemë,
që s’i arrita në momentin e duhur.
Pastaj koha i zverdhi e i thau
me shpejtësi të rrufeshme.

Shanset e humbura.
Po bëhen ca si shumë kohët e fundit.
Fruta që bien në verë e në dimër,
në pranverë e në vjeshtë.
Shpirti im romantik,
po më shkakton shumë humbje.

Më e keqja është se s’i mbledh dot,
të gjitha në një shportë,
sepse duke ndodhur në kohë të ndryshme,
zvetënohen pa pritur njëra-tjetrën,
duke ma hequr edhe mundësinë e fundit,
të një ekspozite me suvenire të vjetra.

Lost Chances

They are like fruits in a tree
which I couldn't reach at the right moment.
Then time turned them yellow and dry
with lightning speed.

Lost chances.
They are growing more and more recently.
Fruits which fall in summer and winter,
in spring and autumn.
My romantic soul
is causing me many failures.

The worse is I can't collect them,
all in one basket,
because they happen in different times
and decay without waiting each-other,
so I lose the last opportunity
of an exhibition of old souvenirs.

Zonë e ndërmjetme

Zonë e ndërmjetme,
mes mashkullit e femrës.
Është plot me valë elektromagnetike,
fijëza të holla që fillojnë te sytë,
shpërndahen në të gjithë hapësirën.
Loja e elektroneve vazhdon e papenguar,
duke dhënë sinjale të dukshme e të padukshme.
Zona e ndërmjetme bëhet më elektrizuese,
sidomos kur ke përpara një vajzë të re
apo një grua të bukur.
Mund të dallosh me sytë e shpirtit,
mijëra fije argjendi,
që lëvrijnë papushim,
duke i dhënë trupave një dridhje të çuditshme
dhe një tërheqje gravitacionale mes tyre.
Kur raporti numerik mes sekseve
është i pabarabartë,
ka interferencë dhe rezonancë valësh,
që në ekstrem mund të ndezë një hark elektrik.

Bashkimi fizik i trupave,
s’është veçse fundi i magjisë.

Intermediate Zone

Intermediate Zone
between the man and the woman,
is full of electro-magnetic waves,
strands which arise from the eyes,
and spread in the whole space.
The game of electrons continues unhindered,
giving visible and invisible signals
The intermediate zone becomes more vibrant
especially when we are in front of a young girl
or a beautiful woman.
We can discern with the soul's eyes,
thousands of silver threads
which swarm uninterruptedly,
giving bodies a strange vibration
and a gravitational attraction between them.
When the numerical proportion among the sexes
is unequal,
there is interference and resonance of waves,
which in extreme can provoke an electric arch.

The physical joining of bodies
is not but the end of miracle.

Kujtim Morina was born in 1972 in Has district of Northern Albania. He graduated from the
University of Tirana / Albania with a degree in Mathematics (1994), studied Law at the
University of Shkodra / Albania (2004), and also has a Master in European Studies from the
University of Graz in Austria (2008). From 1999 to 2009, he worked with international
organisations in Kukes region like UNHCR, CARE and OSCE. Currently, he works in the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and lives in Tirana. So far, he has published the poetry books:
“Drunk under the fog”, (2007) and “Return of eyes”, (2010). Also, he has translated poetry
of Niels Hav (Denmark), Linda Hogan (USA) and Gabor Mandy (Hungary). He writes short
stories as well.
